A visit to Wisconsin, and Winter is in the Air!!

Well, it has been a week since the last post, which was about Easter Sunday and the lovely weather we were having.  Well, Spring WAS in the air, but this morning it was looking allot like Christmas.

Here was the view this morning when we got up.

This last weekend we headed to Wisconsin to visit family at Rosanne's 60th Birthday Part.  It sure was nice to see everybody and surprise her with our being there.  Emma had a great time visiting all of her cousins and other family.

Rosanne checking out the scrapbook made as a gift for her.

Cake Time!!  We were also celebrating Sammy's Birthday as well.

Emma and her cousin Emily being goofy.

Still being goofy!

It was a great weekend being home with family.  It took a lot of driving, but it was worth every minute.  We were also lucky enough to visit with my parents who drove up from Ripon to see us while we were in Wisco.

Easter Sunday and spring is in the air!

Happy Easter everybody.  This was the first year that Emma could actually comprehend the idea of looking for a Easter basket, and she of course loved finding it.  Of course the Easter Bunny brought her plenty of goodies.

 I have found it!!

My little Easter Bunny enjoying some candy.

After we were done finding the basket and chilling out for a little while, we figured we would get out of the house and enjoy the warm spring air.  We decided to go Geocaching for a while.  We did a quick 26 cache Alphabet themed power trail.  After that we hit a few other caches, two were old secluded cemeteries.  Both were way off the beaten path, and really interesting.

This one was about a mile off of the highway, somewhat easy to find.  The cache was actually missing, but the cemetery and the view were worth the trip.

 Very interesting headstone and plot.

Nameless cemetery was extremely far off of the highway.  We had to drive though privately owned land(easement for cemetery road), open a gate, cross a cattle guard, and drive through a small creek just to get to the cemetery.  What an adventure, and what a peaceful place to be laid to rest.

It was a nice Easter Sunday with my girls!

My Winter In Pictures

Here is a run down of basially what I did all winter long....ICE FISHING!!!  Only about 7 months until next season.

As you can see we had one hell of a winter of ice fishing.  I have never seen so many days below zero, or ice so thick before.  This will go down as one of my best ice fishing seasons every...well, unit next year is better!

So long to Facebook.

Lately I have been getting very annoyed with Facebook and the fact that I constantly check it out.  I am going to stop looking at Facebook and spend a little more time with the real things in life.

I have realized that I really don't care "what color I am", or "what flower" someone else is.  Also, I can only handle so many "my life sucks", or "WORSE DAY EVER!!!!!" status updates.  I can't stand all of the trolling for attention, and the delusion that people really think other people really care about that stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I will miss allot of the pictures of family and friends and many of the things I enjoy following.  But, oh well, I survived without facebook before, and I am pretty sure I will be okay now.  I am not going to close my account, because I am sure I will want to go back, but for now, a nice refreshing break sounds great.

I am going to start updating this blog much more often, because, well, we still have family and friends back home who actually care to see what is going on in our lives.

So, with that being said, Facebook will have to survive a little longer without knowing what Simpson's character I am....I hope you will make it!

Please check back, as I will be making plenty of posts with pictures of us finally enjoying some warmer weather in North Dakota.  And, as always you can send me an email, yahoo message me or give me a call, because my real friends and family have the ability to get a hold of me. (also please comment on the posts)

Also, Ruth has a great blog she started recently, you can check it out, Stobb Family Click Here

Stay Tuned!

So I lied, my bad

Okay, maybe I was a little off with my next day or two promise of a new post.  Things are busy and it is just not part of my daily routine.  I hope to get this back online soon, and make it part of my routine.

Don't give up, I wont.

Oh hey there.

Wow, it has almost been a year since I have posted.  I am going to fire this baby back up again!  We got so busy, me with a new job, Emma growing up so fast and what not.  We have our feet back under us again and it is time to get caught up, and to catch all of you back up.

I will be posting some pictures, videos and some stories in the next day or two.

Fun in the Sun!!!

It's only been a couple of weeks since our last post but a lot has gone on since then.  It has been at least 95 every day with a dew point of about 67, so needless to say it has been HOT!!!!  But on a good note Emma turned 4 months old!  (Where did the time go)  We went camping at Lewis and Clark State Park with Kevin's parents and also Emma realized she has feet and she is really starting to talk now.

We are now 4 months old!!!

 I like my ball!

While Kevin's parents where here for a visit we decided to take a drive to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora.  Here are some pictures of the wildlife there.

Medora's wild horses.  One of the only remaining wild horse herds in North America.

Just passing through, don't mind me.

Baby Tatanka

After a day in Medora we headed back to the campground to enjoy some really neat clouds after a storm and of course the fire.

Sunday morning we needed to pack up to go but that doesn't mean we can't sport our cool hat that we got in Medora.  We out grew our camo one.
 Hello

I'm cute and I know it.

No one better touch my ball!

 My feet are delicious!

Hopefully everyone can view this video...Emma is saying hello!

So we hope to keep posting videos and pictures more often to keep everyone up to date of the goings on out here.  Till next time!
