My Legs Hurt!

Last night Wally, Andy, and I decided we should go grab a bite to eat, so we headed out to Apple G's for a quick meal.  We also decided it was an excellent idea to go bowling afterwards...I have not bowled in a very very long time.  We all bowled about the same, so we decided on our last game that we all had to either bowl with our non-dominant hand, or between the legs.  Well, on one of my throws I went with the between the legs, and my aiming fluid did not help me out.  I let the ball go a little early and it bounced off of both calves, and both ankles, landing on the inside of my right foot.  I was able to grab the ball considering it went nowhere but off of my legs.  We all got one hell of a laugh out of that one!    Needless to say...my legs are killing me this morning!!

Otherwise it has been another pretty calm weekend.  A little work, a little relaxation, a little pain...you know same old.

Oh yeah, also yesterday Andy was introduced to Geocaching for the first time.  We decided to quick head out and find one, which we were successful.  Andy might be hooked, and we might be doing much more caching in the future.  Hopefully the weather will break soon, and we will be able to go out and find a bunch more. 

Not so crazy weekend.

This weekend has been pretty tame compared to others.  With one person from each house home for the weekend, everybody is just kind of laying low.  Actually all of us put in some overtime hours today.  I went in to the shop and did a few oil changes, Eric did some deliveries and pickups, Greg and Wally fixed some things as well.  Tomorrow I will be sleeping in and probably playing Black Ops all day.  We will probably go grocery shopping, that will be the most exciting thing about tomorrow.

I do not go home for another 5 weeks, so I have a stretch of lazy weekends yet before I get to head back to Wisco.
I will be flying to Kansas on the 9th for some training on the 10th...that will be my very first time flying.  Should make my flight home a little easier later in the month.

No pictures to post, like I said, it has been pretty tame around here.

A Few Pictures

Here are a few pictures taken the couple days.  Nothing really crazy, but you can get a feel of what the area around here is like.

 It was insanely windy on our trip yesterday, this guy got pushed right into the ditch.  There were gusts pushing the 65mph mark.

Here is how we ended the evening...Ruth made an excellent pan of lasagna.  MMM MMM GOOD...maybe she can just move in for good, the other guys liked the idea!

This is a boring little video of us driving down a country road.  These roads are everywhere and it is crazy how busy they are.  Each one leads to multiple oil wells, and they all have oil to be trucked out.  Constant traffic, which is weird out the the middle of nowhere. 

Another Fun time on the town.

Last night with Ruth here, we decided to head out for a few drinks.  Wally and Eric headed home for the weekend, so decided I should probably be the DD this time.  It was much more tame, but still a good time.  We started the night by having a small bonfire, and ended up at J Dubs again.

 In this picture we have Mike, Andy, Ruth, and I was taking the picture.  At this point, I had already taken Greg home and into bed, he did not last too long, he was praying to the Porcelain gods.  Being the DD, I took it upon myself to remove him from the situation, and put him into his nice warm spinning bed.

Today we are laying low, Mike and Greg are both still sleeping as I post this.  Tomorrow Ruth and I will be heading out to drive through the badlands, we will be sure to have stories and pictures.

Weekend Plans

As I type this post, Ruth is aboard an Amtrak train on here way out to visit.  I will be picking her up right here in Williston around noon.  This weekend we plan on going out to eat, checking out the area, going for a few drives, and just hanging out.  We will probably try to grab a few of the local geocaches, the weather is going to be perfect this weekend!!  We will be reaching almost 40 degrees every day for about a week now, what a relief from the sub zero stuff we are used to.
